This book was a pleasure to read and was almost impossible to put down. I am not an expert on horses, nor need to be. The amount of research that goes into DF's books, and the excellent style of writing allows the reader to enter worlds they may not have opportunity to do so without this book. It has started new interests in me such as exploring Canada by train, going to a murder mystery weekend and reading another Dick Francis novel asap.

The Edge (Dick Francis Library)
I have read all of Dick Francis' stable of books and The Edge is one of my favourites, hence purchasing a copy for my kindle (my hard copy has fallen to pieces). His books are easy to read and the plots are all different. The Edge is singularly different as one knows the criminal but finding the evidence to convict or warn him off from racing is difficult as he appears to be charming but with some very nasty friends.

Have read nearly all of Dick Francis book's but this one has surpassed the lot. Discrimination of the train journey through the beautiful countryside of Canada made me feel I was there, & Tor/Tommy- is he a real person of whom I could meet? I think so! Thank you Dick Francis for giving me such a good read.

As a fan of Dick Francis this is one of my favourite books. Well written, obviously with a horse element, but a totally original and unusual story. From skulduggery on the race course to a train journey across Canada it holds the readers attention.

As a huge Dick Francis fan, I loved this book. His style is totally unique, edge of the seat stuff. I positively devoured it! The delivery time was just enough to build up the anticipation and it was worth it.

Always a Dick Francis fan and this is as good as any. One of his 'not on the race course' novels and had me reaching for my Atlas.Story builds nicely - a god page turner and a satisfactory ending

I was keen to read this because I had just had the most wonderful trip across Canada on the Canadian. It was a good book and brought back the trip for me.
