I received this book at lunch time today, and 3 hours later I am still wading through it. If you are seriously into economics / management / business / football - yes, all of these, then this book is un-put-downable. It is well written, clear, academic in tone, and chapters can be read in more or less any order. It is more academic than 'winners & losers' by Szymanski & Kuypers but none the worse for it.

I opened this book and thought i would never be able to read but then things started making sense and at the end of the day I was 100% into it. It's very well-written and emphasizes on the most important points. It's very academic and perhaps things that appear in "Economics of Football" could be confusing for a person who knows little or nothing about economics. However, since i am doing econ at the uni, I find this book really facinating. It inspires me to continue to study Economics!!!
