Product Description

Product Description

In this Briefing Robin Stott proposes solutions to the key problems that beset our present health system. He argues that if we are to develop a true public health service rather than a 'disease service', we must make radical changes to the decision-making processes.

From the Author

There is a tension threading throughout the text. Much of what is said is critical of the social and organisational systems prevalent in the rich Western world. Yet to change things we have to work within this system. So whilst I offer a radical vision and perspective, I follow the sensible precedents of the Natural Step organisation developed in Scandinavia by Karl-Henrik Robèrt. Change has to be attainable, made with the support of local people, and evolutionary. It will take many years of hard work to achieve what all of us wish, a healthy humanity living in harmonious balance with each other and with nature. But we can make a start today.
