Very nice read 27 Feb 2011
By L. Sims TOP 100 REVIEWER

Lady Emily Carroll is the daughter of an Earl very beautiful but very very shy, she is nicknamed the ice princess, her parents are not all that rich and need to marry her off. After getting caught in a compromising situation at a ball with Nicholas Duke of Manning, they are now betrothed, this is the story of their growing love for one another, there is plenty of romance in this book and passion as well. The bad guy is written very subtley not overdone like some books, all in all a very pleasant read.

I discovered this book a while back while checking out Mills and Boon website. They had an excerpt online and I liked it very much. The idea of a beautiful lady who is wrongly presumed to be cold and aloof due to extreme shyness was fascinating especially when she liked this Duke so very much deep down inside but did not know how to let him know.
I enjoyed the read. The love and passion between the characters was sizzling and poignant on so many levels. They were very understanding and tolerant with each other's imperfections and I loved that. It was a learning journey for the couple.

The love making scenes were hot but could have done with some more.
