Heroes are not made from those who choose their destinies, but fromthose who prevail over what fate has dealt. ~Prince Talon Bishop~ Bring the package or don t come at all. Thus begins a quest for three young apprentices. A quest to guide a magical creature whose gift can be a blessing or a curse. These four misfits will traverse a continent, battle soldiers, brigands and mages: cross wits with princes, spies, Elves and the most feared creature known to exist. 5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!! 1 April 2011
By Gary
Format:Paperback
This is a fantastic book!

Both the heroes and reader are quickly drawn into a devious plot fuelled by one man's craving for power. While expertly revealing layer after layer of this scheme, James Moy explores some of the grey areas in life through his characters - sacrifice, war, illicit love and deceit, to name a few.

Centre stage to this our heroes are thinking warriors - as ready to stop and think as they are to fight, introducing new solutions to seemingly impossible situations, and refusing to have their fate decided for them.

I'm hooked, already looking out for the next instalment!!

An absolute must for fantasy, action adventure and romance readers alike. He's taken the old guard and turned them upside down. The story is fresh and exciting. It's like I picked up my first fantasy book and fell in love with the genre all over again.

I can't decide if it's a fantasy novel, an adventure novel or a mystery. He's taken J.R.R. Tolkien and meshed him with Tom Clancy. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. My eyes were tired but I just could not put the thing down. For the good of the genre, there better be a sequel!
