Everyone, and I mean *everyone* should read a copy of this book.

Whether you are planning a baby 'sometime', never planning a baby, pregnant, a Health Visitor, a father of ten children, a midwife, a bank clerk or a breast feeding counselor you will find something contained within the 200+ pages to nourish you.

If you think you have nothing left to learn about breast feeding, then think again.......

Reading this book is like curling up on a sofa with Ms.Robinson, sharing a cosy heart to heart. Her words are inspirational and she cannot fail to connect with you through her brutal honesty.

I cried, laughed (Eliza's darling comment about room for a third on page 11 will not fail to tug at your heart strings), wanted to give birth again and allowed her wisdom to wash through me as I cacooned myself in every word.

Ms. Robinson's integrity shines through every page. It is a work of unconditional love, commitment and energy that stands as a beacon of hope in a world of apathy, guilt and fear.

The book is written in bite-sized chunks; making it perfect for time-poor people everywhere. Leave it in the toilet windowsill to read in those few moments of solitude each day; I'm sure the author won't mind.

This book is factual and practical, with advice about the best foods to eat and herbs to take to ensure optimum health. It is spiritual, not forgetting that every mother needs to nourish herself. It is daring, thought-provoking, profound and comprehensive.

It's a life changing book and I weep for children and adults everywhere who were never able to claim their birthright to breastfeeding.

Ms. Robinson has given us all a beautiful authentic gift in her writing; so please, go and indulge yourself. You are worth it and so are our future generations.

A must read if you are interested in breast feeding 15 July 2008

It is with passion Robinson writes. Those that have breast fed will thump the book and relate on every page. Those that have never breast fed will gain years of experience in just 224 pages. Robinson is not without controversy: the western culture is a bit squeamish when she mentions she still occasionally bf her 7 year old. Also, some of the artwork in the book may offend the conservative and modest, though it does make a relevant point. However, the book is a must, for those considering the joy and thrill of bf. Our society needs to hear more experiences like Robinson's to lose the phobic mentality that bf is somehow wrong. It's a gift, not only for baby but for mom, too.

As one who has bf and would love to get other moms on board, I can not recommend this book enough. Welcome to the "real world" of bf.
A much needed message 26 April 2009

Veronika Sophia Robinson is passionate about breastfeeding as the normal way of feeding children. I have been breastfeeding my 14 month old, and am inspired to continue to "full term" after reading this book. I learned a lot of new facts, especially about the mind-body-spirit connection with nursing. Her style is easy to read and conversational.
