Product Description

Review

"While success like his is often attributed to luck, Chahal's story, like that of many immigrants, is more one of sacrifice ... it was years of hard work, persistence and faith, along with the support of his family, that brought his financial rewards--not chance."--"San Francisco Chronicle"

"Chahal is a prodigy, a successful entrepreneur, and a writer. His story is remarkable and we think it is a prime example of what can be accomplished with a little motivation and ingenuity. Young Hollywood wants to know what this young man can't do!"--"Young Hollywood" --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

Product Description

As seen on Oprah and The Secret Millionaire.

Gurbaksh Chahal emigrated with his family from India to California and sold two internet companies for £170 million by the age of twenty-five. Uniquely inspiring, The Dream interweaves Chahal's entrepreneurial story with his daring business vision and his extraordinary experiences. The book provides valuable advice for hopeful entrepreneurs, including key lessons on network-building, industry timing, carving out a unique niche, and profitably harnessing risk and discipline.

This is a story of a young mans life. In the book you expect to find insights into entreprenurial process but end up finding more on the author's family and personal life. If you are interested in reading the biography of a guy with a small success read it. If you want to draw entrepreneurial lessons, this is not the book for you. It is a nice read but useless.

Format:Hardcover
Entrepreneurship is something that is inside you and you need to explore it. Gurbaksh has well proved his ideology mix of business n moral values how he implemented those...m fortunate to be of same background and completly enjoyed his struggle with self, his aims, his ups n downs....how he shaped himself with time. Very nice n motivating read.

Nice book 18 May 2010
Format:Hardcover
I didnt give this book a 4 or 5 star rating due to the fact that from a business viewpoint it lacked certain info and explanations but from a story view it was a lovely book to read and I think people with foreign backgrounds anywhere in the world might enjoy it a bit more as it battles with certain issues.
