Product Description

Know, ye now, the power of Magick!

Sir Geoffrey Valhurst has disappeared, the High Magick is rapidly vanishing from the land, and an even greater threat looms as strange, new, menacing creatures appear throughout the kingdoms of Victrial and Scotia. With one Faerie slain, her sisters must rally as they prepare for battle without the use of their enchanted abilities. Can the Knight-Cavalier be found? Can Victrial’s ally, Scotia be saved? Most of all, will she, the greatest of the Fei, be somehow resurrected to fight against the growing threat as the epitome of evil, Darcelumbra the Vain, continues her savage reign of terror in a quest for nothing less than the destruction of the entire cosmos.

…and so, the saga continues as the greatest adventure fantasy of our generation forges on. Now, from the creative mind of J. R. Woltz, comes the second chapter in one of the most original and compelling stories of epic fantasy ever written. Contained within these pages are the metaphor and the allegory of a history long-since lost to the mists of time and legend. The story that is the Dragonsfyre Trilogy is one of courage, love, and renewed hope amid the chaos of a spiritual and benevolent world rapidly turning to evil. It is, in the end, a desperate message for our own time, as well.

More About the Author

As the writing of The Dragonsfyre Trilogy Book Three is now underway, the author once again draws on the history of our ancient past, all that we only now remember as mere bedtime stories, the reality of truth being far stranger than any fiction. All the characters that the readers have come to love will be back as well as a few that are new, as the final chapter in the saga reaches its epic climax. The author's loyal readers and all lovers of epic fantasy should watch for Book Three: Reign of the Dragon Queen sometime in the Spring of 2015. A compendium volume to The Dragonsfyre Trilogy is also being planned.

J. R. Woltz's Celtic ancestry comes mainly from the Isle of Skye with a father of Scottish descent and a mother of Irish lineage. As a member of the Clan Donald Society of Scotland, the author recently found inspiration among the lochs and mountains of the Great Glen during a summer's journey to the Highlands of that most ancient of homelands. There at once began the envisioning of the storyline for this, the second book in The Dragonsfyre Trilogy. Further inspiration for the series has grown out of Woltz's ancestral beliefs as a Druid and eclectic spiritualist.

An intricate part of the Dragonsfyre saga lies in Woltz's desire for the reader to perceive the allegory and the hidden metaphors with relationship to our own world of today. The response by the people of Victrial to the growing threat of evil in their land is one that the author hopes would serve as a lesson to us all.

Woltz's background of knowledge and experience is as diverse as the spirituality which supports it. As a former teacher of history, there is a deep appreciation on the author's part for all manner of antiquity including those stories of myth and legend that may actually be rooted in philosophical truth as well as historical fact. In addition to success as an author, Woltz is also an accomplished artist, a master fencing instructor, an equestrian, and a player of the Great Highland bagpipes.

A prolific artist and writer, J. R. Woltz has a plethora of projects underway, including a new fantasy painting series in oil and a non-fiction historical anthology on the ancient Druid culture.
