Format: Paperback
This book was the most important dragonfly book published last century when no other books of its type were avaliable so it made the amazing varity of dragonfly identification to begginers. Now more modern books with more precise illustrations are avaliable the drawings seem not as good in comparison. It also lacks some of the migrants which have been seen in Britain in the last few years: vagrant emperor, small red eyed damselfly and scarlet dragonfly to name a few. The information is still supurb and it is up there with the best dragonfly publications, but it lacks what modern odonatists need.

Great paperback book for identifying dragonflies, shows the bodies of the dragonflies in coloured illustrations and gives information about the species.
