Format:Mass Market Paperback
The 1995 version (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dragon-Unicorn-Attanasio/dp/0340617721/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1288614349&sr=8-4) is the full, original text.

This version is missing a whole character! I don't know why it was cut down in this way for the American market but trust me it makes a huge difference. What was a truly fantastic work has become just a good one.

Make sure you buy the proper series otherwise you are really missing out. The covers are different so it is easy to tell. The abstract black and white covers are the edited versions while the very colourful fantasy artwork covers are the unedited originals.

This is a really fantastic series and it's definitely worth buying.

Hard read but well worth the effort. This book gives an insight into the legends surrounding the origin of Merlin and his mentor. A serious read, but one that any fan of fantasy fiction and Arthurian legend should read. Mark Nelson

Best Arthor Series 10 Sep 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I bought this on Kindle after owning it in Hardback for many years - without a doubt the best Arthurian tale. Superb and well worth the Download prices.

Mr Attanasio has a superb back catalogue of books and I wait with anticipation for the Dominions of Irth series - The Dark Shore - The Shadoweater - Octoberland - please get them in Kindle Format ASAP!
