"The Door" narrates the thought voyages of a human monad, woman or man. It is an esoteric journey, a cathartic confession if you like, of a human being. And it is an experience that all of us, without exception, go through and share, whether we are aware of it or not.
It is the tale of the travels each of us inevitably undertake throughout many lives and many adventures. It is the journal of the voyages of the brain-mind rather than the physical body, a journey of unending questions and the lack of credible answers, a quest of search and wonder but also of uncertainty, pain, regret and a plethora of other feelings all mingled into a labyrinthine mess not easy to escape from, impossible to arrange in a logical sequence. It is an adventure undertaken by a "hero" (or anti-hero, depending on one's point of view), within whom rages the constant conflict of duality, a battle between the two egos. One is the loud ego of the earthly-self, the man of three dimensions "dressed" with the skins of materiality (a physical body). At the opposite end of duality is the quiet influence of a deeply seated consciousness that provides the link with one's Higher-Self.
During these amazing travels the protagonist has the company of a mysterious invisible companion, "The Voice", a friend of which earthly man knows not of its existence, yet to man's ignorance comes not from far, for it exists within each traveller, each "pilgrim". The Voice's commentary and advice accompanies our confused "hero" throughout his struggle to comprehend and to find direction, but is usually ignored. He searches in the semidarkness of his perception to unearth a reason for being, to find the noble aims that might drive him toward discovering the purpose behind his "creation" (or his birth as The Voice persists correcting him).
