Synopsis

What brought about the downfall of King Arthur's fabled realm? The answers offered by the original stories found herein range from the clash of faiths and ideals, to an Innocent jest gone horribly wrong, to the pervasive, yet subtle flaws in the idea of Camelot itself. From Dark Ages squalor to fantastic splendour, this book presents a wide range of tones and styles, with stories from such notable authors as: Phyllis Ann Karr; Catherine Wells; Charith Baldry; Elaine Cunningham; Mike Ashley; Ed Greenwood; Verlyn Lieger, Darren Schweitzer and more...

a wonderful read 8 Dec 2005
By C. A. GARDNER - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
These stories were a delightful excursion into the Arthurian mythos, exploring the possibilities, characters, and settings surrounding the legend's end. The stories include some really creative interpretations, strong characterization, and are steeped in the flavor of medieval tales--worthy successors to the original legends. There are moments of pure poetry, as well as plenty of adventure and even humor.
