Product Description

Foster child. Teenage whore. Now a veterinarian, MacKensie's turned her life around, but the scars remain. She saves her affection for the animals who never judge or scorn her, but it's time to get out, move on from her past in Iowa. So, she arranges a vacation exchange to job hunt in Seattle.

Although the house is lovely, one room is locked. Her years in foster care have given her two 'gifts': a neurosis about locked doors and the ability to open them. After she gets into the room, she's appalled...and intrigued. Chains and manacles, whips and paddles, odd benches with straps...

When Alex returns home days early and finds MacKensie draped over the spanking bench in his locked dungeon, he's furious. But her wariness arouses his protective nature and curiosity, so he strikes a deal to keep her close--she'll act as his submissive in exchange for a place to stay and help finding a job.

He'd planned to use the veterinarian to deter an ex-girlfriend, not replace her, but with MacKensie's compelling mixture of strength and vulnerability, the little sub slides right into his well-defended heart.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play, BDSM theme and elements (including/not limited to bondage, spanking, tethering), exhibitionism.

Cherise does it again 26 April 2012

I love this author!!! Having started with her 'Shadowlands' series and then to 'The Starlight Rite' and Masters of the Abyss and Mountain - I have enjoed them all. One of the reasons is that since buying my kindle I have spent/wasted a lot of money on really short books - I read a lot and therefore need my books to be of a decent length (at least 150 pages, otherwise I go on a reading drought). These books are a decent length, good stories and scorching content!

The Dom's Dungeon is primarily about Mackensie, a vet who takes a house exchange in order to find a new job and re-settle in a new city to escape her past. Mac's self worth is virtually non-existent after being brought up in foster care and then ending up as a 15yr old prostitute (for less than a year)12 years previously. Mac deviously opens a locked door in the exchange house to discover a bdsm dungeon, whilst trying out one of the benches she dosen't hear the owner of the house come home. Alex was involved in an altercation at the airport resulting in missing his flight, he therefore heads back home. Alex is a dominant with an annoying ex-girlfriend/stalker type, he is furious at finding Mac 'trying out' his equipment but very quickly realises that Mac is a submissive whom he might like to dominate.

To begin with, I thought the story might be a bit cheesy but I very soon started to really sympathise with Mac, I found a few scenes very heartrending and Alex's handling of her is beautifully written and he is just (sigh)! Mac has closed herself off to emotion and Alex helps her to discover her emotional self through the d/s relationship - taking the responsibility and the angst away from her through 'play'. I love all CS's characters, they are all strong, gorgeous but flawed and very believable.

As you would expect this book is scorching hot and will not suit underage readers.

A Dungeon I want in.... Hot, sexy and with an AMAZING story 13 April 2010
By missy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
MacKensie has had difficult past and hard challenges to overcome, but she has turned her life around, and has become a veterinarian. She loves animals because of the unconditional love they give. She sets up a vacation exchange in order to job hunt in a Seattle so she can start a new life for herself. The house she arranged to stay in was beautiful and comfortable. She had access to the entire house, but the basement.
Alex, was not able to make his flight, returns to his house, and finds MacKenise in the basement that was locked prior and bent over a spanking bench and the start of a very hot relationship/story line begins.
The characters are flawed and are written in a real fashion. You get to know, like and become to care about these two individuals. Twists and turns throughout the books along with a view into the BDSM lifestyle make this book fantastic. MacKensie has a past and Alex has the tool (or should I say equipment) to help her fight her demons and find a new way of life with a true understanding of love. It is a great story, but be prepared nothing is held back. Explicit language and very hot love scenes.

Five Star Erotica 10 Mar 2010
By Erin - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Okay... so I write and because of that I have learned two things: 1) I really need to give my editor less work to do; and 2) I can be pretty harsh when reviewing others' writing. That being said, I would also like to preface that I am reviewing Ms. Sinclair's work within its genre - erotica. I am not saying that amongst books such as Pride and Prejudice Ms. Sinclair has earned a 5-star rating, but certainly within the erotica genre.

I had never read any of Cherise Sinclair's work before this and must say I appreciate her writing style. It is captivating, emotional, and - best of all - believable. The Dom's Dungeon starts off with a cute little story about house swapping and there's a real Three's Company moment when our hero, Alex, comes home early to find our heroin, Mac, in his dungeon... naked. The great thing about this story is that its lack of integrity ends there. The story gets better with deeper story lines and underlying issues that are emotionally straining yet surmountable. I remember thinking to my cynical self, "Great! Now, Alex is going to fix all of Mac's serious problems by tying her up and slamming into her a few times because that's believable!" Read the sarcasm there? Imagine my surprise when that was not at all how Alex helps to console Mac and teach her how to trust.

Long story short, unlike a lot of erotica today that either has no plot or exists around a re-canned plot, The Dom's Dungeon is erotica that comes with a fresh plot which illustrates a beautiful balance between sexy and sweet. I highly recommend this book and hope that Ms. Sinclair considers writing a few more stories about the folks at Chains.

Loved this one 5 May 2010

I have read all of Cherise Sinclair's books and have to say, as much as I love the Shadowlands series, this is probably my favorite of all of hers....It was all about the mental aspects of BDSM and the learning and communicating and I thought it was a perfect introduction too to some of her other books. If you are interested and want to "try" one out, this is a great book for that, but I also just loved it regardless!
