They fit dolls of 10 to 25 inches (28 to 63.5 centimetres), and can be altered to fit other sizes. Many of them are intended for the beginner, while experienced dolls' dressmakers should find the more elaborate period costumes an interesting challenge. The book contains making-up instructions, advice on technique and guidance on achieving a professional finish on a small scale. The author's other books include "The Dolls' House DIY Book" and "Making Miniatures", both written in collaboration with her husband.

This is a really useful book with lots of simple, adaptable patterns. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and it gives you lots of ideas. The photos are lovely and there are ideas for accessories too. A really good first book as well as being useful for those more experienced dolls dressmakers! I have told all my friends, too!

The instructions are very easy to follow and the page of handy hints has helped correct other sewing projects. I have not had to use the unpicker for ages!

A book with lots of ideas and patterns for making dolls clothes. Very detailed discussion on types and sorts of clothes However it is not for the novice dressmaker as the instructions are very brief and not detailed. You need to know how to sew clothes to enable you put them together and in which order to do this to get an attractive result. You may also need to adapt the pattern slightly depending on the exact doll you have.
