Product Description

27 years after establishing a colony on a planet in orbit around Proxima Centauri, the colonists make a bizarre discovery, one which shakes the very foundations of the human race. Chris Sergov coordinates the investigation to establish if the discovery is genuine, but will the rest of the colonists believe the results?

Meanwhile back within our solar system, political changes are afoot that will end space exploration completely. A large mining community living on the moons of Jupiter has no intention of quietly returning to Earth and decides to break away from Earth control. A fast moving plot involving terrorism, military action, tricks, diversions, a coup and assassination ensues...

4.0 out of 5 stars A good start 19 Sep 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is a good start foe a new author, the characters are good as is the story - I have deducted a mark for editing which is only slightly annoying, but should have been sorted out before publication

4.0 out of 5 stars Much better than the first book in the series. 18 Mar 2012

If you are frustrated with our shrinking research in science and space exploration, this is the book for you. Who can't resist a rebellion against backwards looking religious fanatics. I also liked the way that the artifact was presented. I still have to take off points on Earth's history. The inaccuracy was not necessary for moving the story forward. Nor was it necessary to drive in a point about our species. I suspect that this story was created before the the first book in this series because it has a much less contrived feel. I must warn the reader that this book does not tie up the story. There will be a third book in the series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first book 20 Dec 2012
By K. Connelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book started out as an interesting sequel to the first book. It takes the story into the second generation. The "but" comes in that it ended suddenly. I felt like I only read the first part of another book. When I read items advertised as books, not serials, I expect at least some plot laid out and completed in the book even if loose ends are left that suggest the next book. I will be wary to purchase the next installment for fear it will end abruptly also.
