Having been a huge Bentley Little fan for a number of years now, and having most of his books, his latest installment The Disappearance is a real let down, it is not as if his work is getting steadly worse, i thought his last 2 books The Academy, and the wonderful His Fathers Son were outstanding, but in my view mr Little has really lost his way with this one, it starts off really well, with lots of tension, the missing girlfriend, the mystery to where she can be, who are the strange people who seem to be stalking the group of friends, and for the first 50 pages this book works, then thats it.... nothing happens, it just goes round and round in circles, it was like walking through treacle, the story just totally lost its way, and was a real struggle to finish it. Very disappointing, a real stinker from a quality author.
