Having been a fan and user of the Tellington Touch method for a while this book translates all the little issues that we meet everyday as horse owners and wonder 'why does he do that' into practical solutions and also gives you tips on how to understand and resolve them, happy horses

Good Book 12 July 2013

I highly recommend this book, and its by no means just for "difficult" horses. It has alot of exercises to help with confidence that are easy to understand & actually go do them. Has alot of T-Touch exercies in a easy to read & understand manner. Covers an entire A-Z of big & small issues. They discuss situations where undetected pain could be causing the behavior, and why punishing a horse for fear does not work. It also discusses how improper management can cause alot of vices & issues. Very good, kind & respectful horsemanship. It is not a how to train a horse book, but a good book for dealing with various issues. Its well put together, can be read all the way through or by specific issues & from there they recommend exercises to help with that issue. Exercises are listed in a way that makes it easy take to the barn & reference while you are with your horse.

I like the organized way this book is set up. It presents things in a quick and easy to follow format, and has lots of common sense and good ideas. I would have liked to have seen some steps to give owners of oversensitive horses who react negatively to physical stimuli such as injections, mane pulling, etc, as this is an area quite a few of us would like to improve.
Not very useful. 22 July 2013

The training suggestions in this book are difficult to follow and too vague. Not one of the better horse behavior books.
