Product Description

Book Description

In The Dharma of Capitalism, Gor has synthesized in narrative and anecdotal form a new way of conducting business that reconciles the individualism of capitalism with the other-focused practice of dharma.

Product Description

At a time when the business world is still adjusting to the impact of the financial crisis, leaders and decision-makers at all levels need to rethink their attitudes and strategies. Looking for new ways to conduct business, a number of global companies have already started changing their business models. The objective is not only to become more sustainable and responsible but more profitable in the long-term. In The Dharma of Capitalism Nitesh Gor explains why doing the right thing is more than a noble idea or a compliance issue and why it can be both practical and profitable.

Filled with practical advice and real-life examples, The Dharma of Capitalism is a thought-provoking, process-based toolkit that will help you evaluate every aspect of your business and achieve profit with purpose rather than profit for profit's sake.

Excellent book. At a time when the core of capitalism is being scrutinised this book is a welcome and timely contribution to the debate. It charts an alternative and credible way forward at a time when capitalism has no option but to change.

Well written, easy to read and very illuminating. It should be read by decision makers at all levels in the business and non business areas whose decisions affect the lives of people in any way.

Refreshing! 11 Nov 2011

Format:Hardcover
I hate reading endless academic babble with half thought-out propositions coveted with hues of never-ending business school clichés.

Gor provides a refreshing take on wholesome decision making and presents a clear and inspiring approach which is holistic and ethical.

The case studies have been well researched and the salient points presented. This book does not provide a utopian framework, rather a change in conscious style.

A solid and engaging read.

A rare read! 23 Dec 2011
Format:Hardcover
This book is an easy read, with a personal, conscientious touch to it. As we are in the midst of critical financial times, decision making has become even more important. This book really uncovers the mind of an intelligent leader, a visionary and a strategic advisor.
