A beautiful book 24 Oct 2006
Format:Hardcover
This is a wonderful book full of the wisdom and insight of the Buddha's words. His teachings are as pertinent now as they were over 2500 years ago. The book is divided into sections with titles such as 'Happiness', 'Old Age', 'Anger' with advice about each topic written in the Buddha's original words (or as close as we will ever get to them)

Its a must-have book for anyone interested in Buddhism, its written in a simple style that even the complete beginner will easily understand.

I cannot recommend this book highly enough

I am very happy with this book, and would just like to draw your attention to the dimensions of the book.
It is actually not bad that it's small, it makes it easier to carry around :)

As one of the major books of Buddhism it does indeed provide a lot of useful insights and sayings with regards to the philosophy. However some sayings are repeated ad nauseum both on the same page and across the book. However I would say that some things do indeed bear repeating but maybe not this much. That being said it still is a nice book with a number of profound messages.
