3.0 out of 5 stars Campy. A lot of fun. 9 Oct 2012

This book is really campy and fun. Unrealistic but just go with it and enjoy it. It is kind of steampunk.

5.0 out of 5 stars Meaningful 6 Dec 2007
By Vella Munn - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Imagine my delight when I keyed in Homer Flint and found one of his books. Why does this matter so much to me? Well, Homer was my grandfather. Born Homer Eon Flindt, he dropped the 'd' when he started writing in in about 1918 because the family is German and that wasn't a good time to be associated with the Germans. For the record, Grandpa's writing career was tragically cut short when my mother was six and his life ended at the bottom of a canyon. Dead at age 34,he was never able to explain what happened on that lonely road. Either it was an accident or he was murdered.
But his writing endures.
Vella Munn
p.s. And I have the origional typed manuscript.
