Via never imagined her trip to Italy to tutor students in English would result in her running for her life from a satanic cult. Giancarlo is in the right place at the right time to save her. The instant attraction she feels toward Giancarlo is nothing like she's ever felt before. Giancarlo isn't looking for more than one night because he's not sure how many nights he has left to offer. There is a reason the cult wants Via and regardless of his personal feelings, Giancarlo intends to keep her safe. If only he can keep her out of his heart too.
Satanic cults and psychic abilities are regarded as fairly normal in The Devil and Via. While Giancarlo can easily accept that, he can't fathom why Via would love him. Although it's a change of pace to see the girl pursuing the guy, Giancarlo ran for too long. The sex was hot when they had it. The Devil and Via is an interesting, angst-filled story.
