Product Description

Whether you are the owner of your own small business, a middle manager in a mid-sized company, or the CEO of a multinational, this book aims to show you how to improve your profits and productivity, following the principles of the Deming management method. Dr. W. Edwards Deming, a statistician and management consultant, proposes a thorough reformation of the way managers manage. Change, Dr Deming believes, starts at the top with an informed, quality-conscious management. The book includes advice on how to achieve that level of management expertise in the author's analysis of Dr Deming's 14 points for managers and his deadly diseases of mangagement.

Deming got it right 6 Feb 2011
Format:Paperback
Deming was a real management GURU of the type we need more of in the world of business. He gave us all not only a management guideline with ideas from the East for the West to apply but he gave us a guideline for a way of life which we often fail to apply in the West We are suffering from 'deadly sins'.

It is well worth reading Mary Walton's book as the Deming ideas are given a simple airing that everyone will find ease to read and acknowledge.

OK 5 Jun 2010

I didn't really like this book. There was something completely insubstantial about her tales of the activities of the big man. I got the feeling she didn't know much about management but was just writing about what she felt to be important. I recommend you skip this and buy The New Economics by the man himself.
