Fantastic resource! 26 Oct 2007
Format:Paperback
This book has been a fantastic resource for my MBA studies. It has helped me prepare both mid-term and final papers for the units which involve Project Management methodology.
The book not only explains in detail the PMI and PMBOK methodology but it explains the reasoning behind the key stages and elements of managing projects.
Thanks for a valuable resource which I shall continue to use not only in my studies but throughout my career in Project Management.

Useful aide memoire 9 July 2010
Format:Paperback
As a practitioner I was sceptical as to what the book would teach me. But I was wrong. It is useful for dipping into to refresh specific points (e.g. I was doing some thinking about project governance - which it gave me food for thought) - it is easy to dip into with logically arranged themes and well organised information (bullet points and simple diagrams). It is comprehensive yet very manageable in size (around 200 pages). It has a pragmatic approach, refreshing to find someone not peddling a restrictive methodology - its key point is that methodologies guide the wise and turn the hapless into project administrators at best. This book is also useful for those who need to influence or have other important roles on projects (business users and sponsors for example). Those who are seasoned professionals in project management should read it too as it challenges some of the habits you may have.

Excellent book 12 Nov 2009
Format:Paperback
This book actually emphasizes more the theoretical aspects of Project Management. It will provide in-depth background information and a clear overview. For those who are preparing PMBOK exams, this is definitely a 'must have' item. For those who are looking for practical approaches, it will provide you the necessary the theoretical base and the reference.
