If you love diving, then you will find much to enjoy in this pulp thriller. I am one of the seemingly few people who has not read Jaws so this book did not have to live up to any expectations of the author's work. He sure knows how to build suspense and the last 50 pages are compulsive reading. The diving pages are enjoyable for anybody who likes the idea who would love the idea of arriving at Bermuda in order simply to dive without any worry about expense. Do not read this book for realism and do not read this book if you are sensitive towards the way the author describes Bermuda as a lawless place terrorised by black baddies. For somebody who claims to come to Bermuda a lot for diving, Peter Benchley certainly did not do the place and more importantly its black residents any favours with this book. If you are unconcerned by this and want some diving adventure, you will enjoy this book.

Peter Benchley is one of my all time authors. Not many writers can capture the mystery and dangers of the ocean like he can. Most famous for his bestselling novel "JAWS", He followed up with this top notch tale of honeymoon lovers in Bermuda, sunken shopwrecks, drugs and voodoo! If you get chance, check out the spectacular film adaptation by British director Peter Yates!

Spooky film - would defo recommend. Lots of scary underwaterness and a bit of voodoo thrown in. I love Pete Benchley.
