Product Description

Sixteen-year-old Lenna James goes to church, attends youth group, and hangs out with the "church geeks" at school. At least, she did. Enticed by a chance with the boy she's had a crush on for years, Lenna abandons her values and her lifelong friends to hang out with the popular crowd. What she gets in return couldn't be further from her expectations.

Feeling used and alone and facing an unexpected pregnancy, Lenna struggles to regain control of her life, her parents' trust, and the love of her best friend, Will. But when her pregnancy takes an unexpected turn, taking away what little control she thought she had, she must find the strength to make the most heart-wrenching decision of all.

A beautiful story of love, faith, and forgiveness, The Day We Met will make you laugh, make you cry, and touch your heart forever.

The beginning of this book let's it down but the ending is brilliant and emotional . I suggest to read this book to people who are prepared for some rudeness and are touched by this sort of thing

4.0 out of 5 stars The day we met 28 Mar 2013

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a very sad read. I've never read a novel with such a focus on religion before but it worked for me. I can fully see how someone so young, in that situation could struggle with her faith and I was glad to see it restored as we progressed through the book, especially given how it all plays out.

My only real gripe was how immature Lenna could be, of course she's immature at sixteen but at times, she frustrated me.

All in all though, short but sweet and sad but uplifting.

We all face choices in life. Some are small, insignificant choices like what to wear to the prom or what to say to your crush when you see him walking down the hall. Those choices may or may not have long-term effects on our lives. You never know.      Then there are choices that are so huge, so important, you know you are altering the path of your life as you make them. "e;
