So much going on. 23 Jan. 2011
By Nikki W. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Um, whoa. Where to begin. I'm almost not sure of what to say. There was so much going on in this novel. It's like one unbelievable scene to another. Shocking, sad, sweet, sexy, and pretty good.

There was so much that went on in this story it's hard to really say what it was about. Karen ends up at her family's vacation home waiting for them to arrive. Unfortunately, her parents have been detoured and won't arrive until the next day. Alone, Karen has to break in and wait for her family. The family of the man her father killed has other plans.

That's really such a small part of the story. Billy, one of the family members is forced to change Karen into a vampire. The nephew of the man Karen's father killed. What really happens is when Billy develops feelings for Karen.

The ending was bittersweet. I cannot help but think what will happen in the second book. I almost sort of want to leave the story as it is but I'm eager to find out what's next for Karen.

Boring! 5 Dec. 2010
By Drax17 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I don't understand how people have given this 5 stars. I found this boring & hard to get thru. The story skipped around to much & made no sense. The main character Karen is turned into a vampire against her will. One minute she hates Billy the man who turns her then loves him then hates then loves him again etc etc. Why she feel in love with him in the first place I never understood. I found Karen's character completely lacking any worth who stumbles from one problem to another without any story structure. This is the first in this series, I will not be continuing on with. Glad this was only 99cents not worth much else. Very disappointed.

Don't bother with this 28 Sept. 2012
By Susan Barnes - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
The main character is frequently confronted with moral dilemmas, and in each and every case seems to choose the wrong action. For example, her family arrives at the vacation home, and, instead of insisting they leave immediately and escape, she decides to go to sleep, thereby ensuring the deaths of her mother and brother. With each subsequent scene, she takes the lamest option available to her, proving time and again that she has no backbone.
