......better of me, and I am glad I did. It is a great companion for readers such as myself who have read the entire backlist in a bit of a hurry, and for whom the books did get a little confusing. We learn that there are thousands of DH in the world, and we get a brief summary of many of the main characters, both those that have appeared in their own novels, and perhaps those that are to come. I say perhaps as we have more info on some than we do others, and a lot that feature have been killed. There appear to be some rather hunky specimens to come!! It also comprises 'interviews' with Ash and Simi, which are in much more detail than can be found on SK's website, and there is a bonus short story called Second Chances, all about Ash, that was published several years ago as a Collectible booklet, that is now OOP&HTF. Glad to find it in here, as it's only a few pages long and I wouldn't have wanted to pay silly-money for it. There's also an i/v with SK, which is great, some info given on Ash not published before, and some Greek recipes - which is the only reason this book got a 4* and not 5* rating. It might be to others' tastes, but I found the inclusion of the recipes unnecessary. Also included is the correct reading order, and I've found that I can get hold of a copy of the very rare A Dark-Hunter Christmas in a bonus edit of a full-length novel, so I'm off to track this down now...All in all, a very worthwhile read for fellow Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter fans.

I've read all of SK's Dark Hunter novels since she first kicked off with Dragon Swan & followed up with Fantasy Lover.
There are now so many that even I'm starting to loose the plot.
This mini-encyclopedia has come at just the right time. Ash's book is due this summer, & if like me you need to get the mytholology in the right place before the grand denoument, this is the book for you.
Anything you wanted to know...but were too afraid to ask is here.
Major characters, minor characters, & those we hope will get their own boks are all here. Not to mention the many & varied baddies.
Buy this book, you won't regret it. I'm already re-reading the books in readiness for this August

this book is great for those who are a fan of sherry's dark hunter series. gives good reference for characters if you to want to jog your memory on who they are or what theyve done. characters are organised by daimon squire and dark hunter werehunter and dream hunters along with a few short stories thrown in. word of warning though best to purchase this book after reading a few of the books in the series as does contain spoilers for those (like me)who cant resisist a peek. it is good as a guide up to Acheron after that some of the info needs a little up dating.
the downside to this book is it is not available on kindle the publishers need to get a move on with that

I like all Dark-Hunter things related, so this is an interesting book to have, which explains what is what and who is who.

I did not like the part regarding greek culture and a greek dictionary. Yeah, it is interesting, but in a Dark Hunter book? Just because the main pantheon of gods and some of the characters are greek is no excuse to enter info regarding greek culture nowadays into this book. It was a bit boring.

Apart from that, I enjoyed the book.

... Otherwise it's a big spoiler to the fate of some of the characters. That aside, the biggest chunk of this book was name after name after name of every god, every goddess, every Daimon, Dark-Hunter, Were-Hunter, Dream-Hunter, Squire, and mortal to ever appear in any one of Kenyon's books. No matter how fleeting a reference. Even the deleted scenes and special short story fell flat after wading through this thing.

I bought this to go with all the Dark Hunter /Dream Warrior novels. As a little fun reading and for insight. Alas I found it really "out of date". If an author is going to write a companion to a well loved series, maybe it's better to wait, or refresh every couple of years. I felt a little cheated really. Just my opinion however. Sadly I would not recommend.
