i have been a life time fan of music, mostly what used to be 'indie.' and from the time i was about 18, i adored ian mccullough. i still think he's got the best male singing voice ever. the cutter was echo's best single ever. when i hear it, twenty plus years on, i still get goosebumps at that crescendo bit that anyone who knows this song will know what im talking about. i heard him do this live once, and it was absolutely knock out. while they weren't the best band in the world as a group, ian's angelic vocals make up for this little 'failing.'

one of the best singles, not just by this band, but of all time. it is timeless, and flawless. x
