This is a great book. It begins quite slowly, but then it gets really exciting and you don't want to put it down. It's set in the 17th century and horrible things were happening. Reuben has a hard time trying to stand up to the evil Dr Flyte and his friend Baggs. He only has the memory of his grandmother and the dog, Shadow, to keep him company. A fantastic read.
