Not worth it 11 Nov 2004
By A Customer
Format:DVD
This DVD consists of a number of interviews with journalists and musicians who have had an interest in/ involvement with the Cure over the years. They are mildly interesting but don't really add anything new to any fan's knowledge of the band. There are about three 'soundbites' from Robert Smith and no real interviews with the band. The DVD also includes NO original music by the Cure.

So, a documentary that has no music by or interviews with the band - make your own mind up - is it really worth it?

Also, whilst the journalists and musicians interviewed know their stuff, the production company certainly hasn't done their research - the voice over tells us that Robert decided that "Bloodflowers" made up the third of a Trilogy which also includes Disintegration and Faith . At least Paul Morley rectifies the situation in the interview that follows. Amateur stuff.

If anyone is thinking of buying this DVD, PLEASE DON'T! There's no Cure music and no cure interviews. It's not endorsed by The Cure or the past or present record labels. There's a few minimal comments by Robert Smith. It's basically a few "experts" discussing their thoughts on The Cure. The only "REAL" insight is from Robert Smith's ex banshees Bandmate and co-writer of The Glove. I was very dissapointed with this DVD overall. Please spend your money on better Cure DVDs such as live performances or label endorsed DVDs.

Good, but only for diehard fans 6 Jun 2007
By Adam Stapleton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I'll be objective about this, which is difficult for me because the cure is quite honestly my favorite band of all time. This DVD contains no actual Robert Smith interview footage, though it does have Steve Severin on it, which is a plus. Also, because this is an unauthorized DVD, the background music is basically composed of instrumentals of Cure songs that are done slightly off key, so as to avoid any legalities I'm sure, but the songs are still recognizable. Really what this DVD boils down to is it's a bunch of cure fans talking about what they like about the cure, save the Severin interview which is really the best part of the DVD.

This is horrible! 28 July 2007
By Brian Parramore - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
I gave this DVD 1 star, only because it's about the Cure. The background music, as said above, is crappy and copied. The discography is a joke. It leaves out a few records that could have made this almost worth while for the discography alone. It failed to mention Staring At The Sea, with the sticker about 'Killing An Arab' not being racist, it left out Mixed Up, The Steve Severin interview was almost unwatchable, and from what I understand, it's the same DVD as The Cure - Lost In Labyrinth. Don't even waste your time.

Disappointment 15 Jun 2007
By Michelle - Published on Amazon.com
Format:DVD
This is the same DVD as The Cure, Lost in the Labyrinth. They have changed the covers to trick us into buying but it is the exact same DVD inside, same label and same contents. There are no official interviews with any of the band members and they can't even use any of the Cure's music. The inverviews are with DJ's and a few other people that knew the Cure. The only interesting thing is the interview with Steven Severin from Siouxie and the Banshees. Otherwise I feel like I got ripped off, (actually twice since I now own both DVDs)
