This book was an impulse buy. Initially the design of the book caught my eye - with it's sparkly gold foiling on the front, and the wavy right-hand edge to all the pages. Browsing through the pages was a delight. Every page is a fun, sweetie-shop sort of design (pastel colours, spots, stars, stripes, gingham). There is a recipe at the front of the book for basic, no-fail cupcakes. Tried this out today, and they are Fab! The rest of the book has all sorts of tasty treats, including Christmas trees (see Ghostly Goul recipe) - I will be trying my hand at some of these over Christmas for my work colleagues. No specialised (ie expensive) equipment is needed as far as I have seen so far, although a 'star' nozzle & piping bag is required to make the gorgeous rose bouquet (page 83).
A few recipes from the book are:- Tropical Pineapple Cupcakes, Toffee Apple Cupcakes, Maple Pecan Cupcakes, Cream Tea Cupcakes, Gooey Chocolate & Cream Cheese Cupcakes, Chocolate & Orange Cupcakes. Oh my word, they ALL look so good!
This lovely book would make a great girlie/foodie present for someone (including yourself!)

Bought this book elsewhere, just received it this week. It is full of lovely recipes and pictures and probably the only one you'd need for making cupcakes. Excellent, very pleased with it
