There are no beats at all, and it's not relaxed either. The album is made up of two parts. The first is a performance at Dartington Music College which is made up of chiming gamelan music and basic gamelan percussion along with electronic pulses.
The second part is from a live broadcast at the WOMAD Festival. This is a harsher recording featuring the band playing scrap metal and various other found sound intruments to try and build a mountain of noise and also to try and make a meditative noise.
One for the fans, like me. You won't find yourself popping it into the CD player regularly, but there are times when you will play it and will appreciate the future-thinking and innovative methods used by this group to try and put across their thoughts through sound and music.
