A true classic 30 Mar 2012
By Angelika - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
First and perhaps foremost, the English translation is a good deal more manageable than the German original (which is not saying terribly much).
There can be no doubt that this work is a keystone of Western philosophy and as such it most certainly deserves our attention, but one must also be aware that the argument and presentation is far from optimal. Unless one is truly dedicated to Kant, philosophy in general or the history of Western thought I would find it hard to recommend the actual text of the "The Critique of Pure Reason" over the much more lucid summaries of Kant's ideas that are readily available.
