In this, the final book in The Crucible Trilogy, Thomas Neville must attempt to choose mankind's fate - with the Angels, or the Demons?
Anyone who has read The Nameless Day and Wounded Hawk knows that this choice is not as straightforward as it seems.
This was an extremely enjoyable book, with a surprising conclusion (I don't think I'm giving anything away by saying that - Sara Douglass can be relied upon to surprise her readers!)
