I love this book! I am a very experienced professional crafter and I love dipping into this book to inspire me to be much more creative with my sewing, etc. I always go away from having read the book full of energy to have a go at something completely new. It contains information about a group of individual crafters and explains why they craft, what they make and how they juggle crafting with the rest of life. Each crafter has supplied a project suitable for any level of skill. The websites and blog addresses are really useful and I've explored ideas through these references which are completely new to me. It is one of my top 5 favourite craft books.

This book is one of the best craft books I've seen recently, most promise much but don't deliver. This book contains a peek into the world of online crafty bloggers who talk about their crafting lives, their studios and early childhood experiences of crafting. Makes for excellent reading! Then on top of that and the beautiful pictures there are lovely projects to make yourself. What bliss, then when you have devoured the book follow the links to read more online.

I loved the style of this book - a collaboration of different crafters describing why they craft, their inspirations and work space. Looking at their creations and workspaces gave me lots of ideas, and some of the projects look really fun, like making a fabric basket to put things in, or a needle case. Unfortunately, there was a lack of projects in comparison to the written sections, and some of these are disappointing. For example, there were instructions for market bags and library totes, which are very similar patterns and abundant online anyway. If you're looking for a book of interesting, original patterns, you might want to look somewhere else. However the book is worth it just for its exciting photography and interesting tips.

This is a beautiful book, guaranteed to inspire. Each contributor writes a chapter about their influences, inspirations, work-spaces and materials and gives instructions for a project. This book is a sumptuous, rewarding read in itself, but it also gives you the individual crafter's blog addresses which lead on to other inspirational sites. If you are interested in making at all, get this book, it's fantastic!

I was a bit hesitant about buying this book - more famous people tooting their own horns - but the reality couldn't be more different. I loved everything about it from the gorgeous photos to the interesting bios to the simple yet striking patterns. I teach 11 and 12 year olds to sew and together we have made almost EVERY project from this book. Sure many of the projects are very simple bags and purses but the fabric choices and the embellishing make each project extra special and that's exactly what I was looking for. And then the links to blogs for ever-changing inspiration - magic! A wonderful, wonderful book.

I love reading about how other people get their ideas and inspirations and this book is packed full of this. Beautiful photographs are on every page and there are also patterns for some of the projects featured. Every person featured has their own craft blog and the links to these are included too. All in all an excellent and inspirational book. :)

I bought this book only 3 days ago, and have read it from cover to cover already, and lost half a nights sleep thinking about my own crafting inspirations, and a full day re-organising my own workspace.
It is like reading about one version of myself after another - and while the projects are more like sugestions, and there is just one from each crafter, these aren't the point of the book, it is so much more than a project book, and has really inspired me to take more seriously the things that make me truely happy. brilliant! (I may even venture online to the bloggs...)

I LOVED this book.
I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.
I was looking for a bit of inspiration but didn't want a standard project book. Each craftsperson describes their inspiration, creative processes and workspaces. It is beautifully photographed and I have saved all the featured blogs and browse them frequently.
You will visit this book again and again.
