This is an excellant book on the craft of quilling, or paper filigree, as it is also known. The introduction includes a BRIEF,but interesting history of this anceint art. The book is suitable for the beginner and experienced quiller alike, since it includes a section on necessary materials, equipment and how to start quilling, as well as first projects and more advanced projects.Included in the book are patterns for special occasions, such as baptisms and weddings and festivals, such as Easter and Christmas. Projects include a variety of cards,Christmas decorations,a wedding horseshoe and a Christening or wedding bonbonniere and there are many more ideas on how to use your quilling skills. Colour photographs illustate each project. Instructions are clear throughout. My only disappointment was that the beautiful gold filigree cross photographed on the front cover does not include a pattern explaining how to make it within the book. However, there is a pattern for a more basic, but still attractive cross for use on a First Communion or condolence card. I will certainly get my monies worth out of this book. Highly recommended for those who need ideas and inspiration with their quilling.
