"It's a very small world in the middle of a crowd. The room gets dark when the music gets loud!"
Brilliant album showcasing the under-rated talents of Malcolm Owen & Co.
For any 'new' generation punks (under-20s?!) this is the group that must have inspired Rancid.
Staring at the Rude Boys, In a Rut, West One and not forgetting Babylon's Burning squeezed onto one disc with numerous other gems.
Forget your Limp Bizkits & Linkin Parks, buy this CD now!

The Ruts were by far the best of either the first or second wave of punk acts. Coming from suburban Hayes, Ruislip and South London, they had a grip on life in London that very few bands did.

Their take on Punk and Reggae has never been bettered. Fox is a great guitarist, Ruffy & Segs a great rhythm section, capable of playing reggae far better then most punk outfits. And Malcolm Owen? A gent, oozing with charisma.

'In a Rut' is the greatest song ever recorded. 'Babylon's Burning' and 'Staring at the Rude Boys' not far behind. Buy it.

a superb band who were sadly cut short by the demise of their lead singer.

this is a great collection of their best hits , some many will know and some only the officianado's of the time will remember..
