Product Description

Product Description

This 100-mile (160-km) route is Britain’s newest National Trail and was officially launched in May 2007. Starting in the picturesque village of Chipping Camden it takes the walker through a landscape of steep escarpments, bare plateaux and wooded valleys, passing a number of important historical sites en route, before descending into the Severn Valley and ending at the city of Bath. Whether you are walking the trail from end to end or exploring a part of it, you will find this easy-to-use guide indispensable. Anthony Burton is the author of over fifty books including two other National Trail Guides.

Best guide available 27 May 2010
I always buy the official national trail guides for the maps. Like all the others, this guide has the complete trail in OS 1:25000 as well as a key map showing the entire trail. I've walked a few legs of the trail already, and it is very well signposted, the main exception being Bath itself. Hence the reason I dropped a star ... a streetmap of Bath at the end of the guide would have been nice.

Great Guide 14 Jun 2011
Well put together with 1 issue. It only makes sence if you travel the way it suggests. I tried to use it in the opposite directtion and gave up. However, if you plan the walk its a great starting point for your research

Cotswold Way Bible 16 Aug 2010
A very useful and informative book for anyone walking parts or all of this National trail. Extremely clear maps and detailed descriptions, which are fairly accurate for this updated edition. Can also be used for circular walks. I wouldn't do this walk without one!
