Joanne's experience spans both summer and winter sports and she advises on technical movement enhancements for performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation for clients including the British Olympic Association and Swedish Sports Federation. Paul Pook is the National Fitness Coach for the Irish Rugby Football Union and has worked with elite athletes in a wide variety of sports. Paul is a well-known published author in the area of fitness.

As an essential part of looking at athletic balance together with strength and conditioning, this book has a crucial place in every training kit.

Joanne is clear and concise and the visual approach the book takes makes it ideal for those kinaesthetic learners (often sportspeople). As the title states, athletes, coaches and every fitness professional should be conversant with the approach Joanne takes on movement. If you're in balance you'll perform better.

It is understandable, followable and actually works. Nobody should be too 'great' to be able to complete these exercises and even the most professional of athletes could benefit.

Highly recommended.

my husband bought this just to gather dust because he doesn't use it we have a large ball which i find works better for us

This book is easy to follow with clear descriptions and photos of the correct way to perform each individual exercise.

I have been practising pilates for several years but still found this book informative.

I feel that this book would appeal to a wide-range; both as the book suggests fitness professionals, coaches but also to people like me who have been practising pilates / core stability for a while and would like a book as an aid memoir.
