I'm startled that so many reviewers disliked this film. I watched it on a flight back from China when, really, all you want is a story that holds your interest, and it did that. It has a rather sloppy ending - the Freeman character is not likeable if you consider what he does and why, but he ends up after Cusack's character as a kind of soul-mate and second hero. There is suspense and plenty of action. Cusack acts well and Freeman does his usual gravel-voiced turn implying wisdom, character and a kind of weary superiority, and all of that fits the film well. I liked it, though I wouldn't want to see it twice.
