The author has taken that most humble of construction materials - paper - and created forms of great elegance and richness of surface. A must for anyone aspiring to create fine objects for the home.

Sophisticated, contemporary artistry from paper. 5 May 1998
By Jannucat@aol.com - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book is for the sculptor in you. The authors describe all of the materials used in the craft and present the pros and cons of each. Bravo! There is a good deal of information in its chapters, but the writing is so clear, it is quite easy to undersand. The photos of finished objects d'art present the projects literally in their best light. The photos are also accompanied by illustrations in 3-D. It's a beautiful book presenting the indigenous, the contemporary, and the commonplace in forms that the papier mache crafter can do. I found the the "how to" sections to be outstanding.

I have a number of books on paper mache, and have worked with the medium for several years. This book is far and away the best of the bunch in terms of ideas, techniques, and instructions.

Now this is a paper mache book! 5 Nov 2009

I was afraid every paper mache book and article I read would show me how to make simple painted animals, but here's the book I was looking for. It's full of ideas about using paper mache as a sculpting tool, and covers a variety of ways to create mache, how to create different surface textures with interesting materials, and offers a number of truly beautiful projects. Now I'm confident paper mache is the versatile medium I thought it could be. Well-written, informative and beautifully photographed.

Papier Mache Magic 28 July 2011
By claresweaving - Published on Amazon.com

This is a wonderful book. With clarity, terseness, and great pics, the author explains how to create papier mache objects from your own designs, using simple, recyclable cardboard and some glue! I've already created a picture frame for a drawing. She also explains how to decorate the items, e.g. stenciling, along with a clear explanation of the materials required and how to finish items. The only thing I wish she had included is recommendations for attaching hardware such as wall hanging hooks. Other than that I highly recommend this book for anyone wishing to be creative with papier mache.
