This was reviewed by our book club - my choice and unusual genre. It was unanimously decided that this would MAKE A BRILLIANT EDUCATIONAL BOOK IN THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM AT A LEVEL. Not only did it cleverly mix home and office life giving tips on how to balance them, but it also provided tips in a believable story that were really helpful. We all liked the 'building blocks of personal achievements to make a wall' and the story of how perseverance paid off when creating the `post it note'. I really enjoyed the book and my friends had lots of positive things to say about it. It is for anyone - not necessarily in the work place, but ANYONE WHO DEALS WITH PEOPLE - would recommend A++++++++++++++++

I read this book after meeting Kate on a number of occassions and am so pleased I did. It is book which is very (very) easy to read but has so many learning points in it. I would recommend it to all those starting out in management or supervisory roles and think it would be a great book for new graduates too. It also acts as a gentle reminder for those who already manage but may not be confident about doing.
What is great is that it shows how personal development and a growth in confidence impacts on all aspects of life and not just in the work context.

This book was recommended to me when I was applying for managerial jobs following a relocation. It helped me revisit and focus on skills I had - but had forgotten about! The format and style is unstressful and makes an easy read of what could be quite taxing subject matter.I strongly recommend this for new or existing managers who want to develop or refresh their practice.
