A friend gave me this excellent book at a very wobbily moment of my life. I was immediately attracted by Sarah Litvinoff's clear insightfulness and the very doable way The 10-Step Plan is structured. As well as lots of common sense stuff (like boosting energy levels with proper food and adequate sleep) much was revolutionary to me. Particularly the idea that behaving confidently while feeling the opposite generates genuine confidence - I tried it very skeptically and found it really does work! The chapter on fear and worry was the most helpful to me personally. Fear is a big one, however, so I'm sure I'll be returning to it again in the future. I thoroughly recommend this book to everyone seeking to maximize their life and opportunities.

I liked this book's practicality. It made you do things, draw up charts, make lists, tick things off etc, rather than just talk to you, which usually ends up just washing over me! It helped me feel a bit better about myself and slightly more confident although am horribly shy and I always imagine most people reading the book would just feel averagely lacking in confidence!

What a super book! Please don't have any doubts before buying this, just go for it. Why? Well, Sarah Litvinoff has created an insightful, compassionate and very practical guide to raising your confidence. It melds old fashioned common sense with new thinking on how to be confident, and it will work for anybody. The confidence SOS toolbox at the end is great little tool for the quick fix, but really the whole book is brilliant and easy to read. A winner!

This is a straightforward and helpful book full of ideas on how to build your confidence and develop your personality. The tone is friendly and encouraging and the author uses real-life examples to illustrate her points. I found it a good resource for dipping into as well as reading at length. There are exercises to try as well as practical suggestions that are well within most people's reach. No quick fixes are offered, just sound guidance that will inspire you to become more confident through small steady steps.
