Book Description

1 Mar 2012
All 18-year-old Celeste Garrett wants is to head off to college and make those fun, yet ill-advised, choices college kids are known for. And maybe to spend some time with the hot cameraman she just met. Instead, because of a pact her ancestors made in the 17th century with a mythical creature, she has to save the world. While normal kids are slamming energy drinks and cramming for exams, Celeste will get her adrenaline rush fighting a fire breathing dragon. She wants to meet friends in the quad to exchange lecture notes, but first she must exchange blows with a shapeshifting demon on the rooftop. Life isn't always fair for a superhero, but at least she doesn't have to do it alone. With her brother and sister as sidekicks, they alternate between saving lives and getting on each others' nerves. Together the trio encounters unspeakable odds, mystical forces and comes face-to-face with an image that will haunt them forever-their grandmother in a leopard print bikini. Okay, little side note here. If a psychopathic killer asks if you want to see a trick, say no. That's the smart thing to do. I, on the other hand, responded, 'Bring it'." -excerpt from THE CONDUIT

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it! Love it! Love it! 24 July 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I simply cannot express how much I loved this book! I literally could not put it down and read the entire book in one Saturday night instead of going out, which is something I do not get to do that often. I was very excited to read the next one, and I was not disappointed so as soon as you are finished this one go for Embrace! Keep them coming Stacey!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this easy read. 6 July 2012
By Wanda
Format:Kindle Edition
I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and impartial review.
I loved The Conduit, it is a fast, fun read. If I spend twee hours on this book from start to finish I might be exaggerating. But I loved the dynamic between the siblings, no malfunctioning familial bonds. This family is fairly normal, well apart from the pact and saving the world and fighting demons etc.
The one liners and some situations has me in stitches, the dialogue is real and witty and I really liked Celeste and her oh so normal insecurities especially in the beginning of the book.
I give this book a sailing 8 entertainment * review. It rocks. It really does. The best thing about it is the fact that I am already 3 % into the second book in the series. Who might not like the book? I seriously don't know. I loved it.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE CONDUIT 4 Mar 2013
By claire
Format:Paperback
The Conduit is a truly wonderful book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would suggest that anyone who enjoys a fast and lively paced book with plenty to keep you gripped right till the last end is a definite must read. I was truly looking forward to reading the second instalment: Embrace, Gryphon Series 2 and with reading the first chapter I am pleased to say it does appear to be as good a continuation from the first novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply amazing 2 Oct 2012
Format:Kindle Edition

The Conduit
Book One of the Gryphon Series

This book had me completely hooked from the first chapter, I had to force myself to put it down to get some sleep (several chapters after my usual bedtime).

Completely entertaining, full of action, well written with amazing character development and descriptions, your imagination will just whisk you away and you'll be completely immersed in their lives.

After getting to the end I couldn't just leave the story there, and jumped straight into Book Two, Embrace (not sure what I would have done if it hadn't been released yet, luckily I didn't have to find out).

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of action and loads of laughs 1 Oct 2012
Format:Paperback
I won a copy of The Conduit and also downloaded and e-copy.

This is the first installment in the Gryphon Series. Celeste and her siblings are sent to stay with their Grams, due to some break ins back home. Their mother thought it would be safer. Boy was she a little wrong. Not that staying with Grams is terrible, she is one hip lady with spunk and full of wise cracks. The part that is an issue is that some 17th century ancestor made a pact that will more than put the them in a little danger, not to mention change their lives to the extreme. So much for having some normal teenage fun before school starts back.

I love this book. It is completely different from other supernatural theme books out there. It is full of action and loads of laughs. I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment. I have to say that the author leaves you hanging on the edge of the cliff. A great YA read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb YA Fantasy Novel! 4 Aug 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I started The Conduit with an equal mixture of dread and anticipation, both because of the amazing reviews that have been previously left. I hoped desperately that I wouldn't be the one person who didn't like this novel. And with relief and a little jump teamed with a loud *hurray*, I can positively and absolutely say that I am now officially one of Stacey's minions. The Conduit is a friggin' awesome YA novel!

The characters that she created, from the mains to the secondaries, are very well-crafted and all have very distinctive roles and personalities. I was happy to discover Stacey's signature wit evident throughout this novel, especially in Celeste's character.

There was not a moment that I felt the need to skim over the dialogue or the narrative. Immediately and throughout, I was impressed with Stacey's style and creative flair and energy; there's a definite buzz to her writing that effectively captured my attention and kept me well and truly hooked.

A superb YA fantasy novel, that adults will most definitely enjoy too. Super job Stacey and an impressive 5 stars!
