An invaluable resource for any wrestling fan of the era. The third in the series from www.historyofwrestling.info. This is the complete guide to every Wwf Vhs release from July 1993 to June 1996, with full reviews of every tape, alternative wrestler bios, exclusive artwork by Bob Dahlstrom, awards, match ratings, and much, much more. Learn about the ascension of Steve Austin, the death and rebirth of The Undertaker, the return of the Ultimate Warrior, the rise of the Kliq, some of the greatest matches of the 90s, some of the worst angles and gimmicks in wrestling history, the collapse of the tag team division, some of the inaugural Wwf "divas", the wrestler who was half man and half bull, a tag team from the future, the aborted push of the next American hero and one of the worst Wwf pay-per-view events of all time. This is the best volume yet and once again is stuffed to the gills with facts, opinions and cockamamie theories. Enjoy!

I cannot praise this series and these authors enough. The volumes are more than the video guide they profess to be - they in fact provide a near chronological walk through WWF / WWE history via PPVs, video events and so on. With each match and event reviewed in detail, with an honest look without any any rose tinted glasses and some killer humour. My only criticism is that there is such a gap between release dates!

Cannot wait for the next volume - hours and hours of enjoyment reading these volumes. Well done guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Would highly recommend 29 Nov 2013

I would highly recommend this book to any wrestling fans, it manages to be both informative and entertaining. It includes some useful background to the matches which helped me to appreciate them in context. I like the rating system they use as it is a handy guide for comparison and reflection on the overall quality of the matches and ppv's.

4.0 out of 5 stars What you see is what you get..... 10 Nov 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Having read a few of these books the standard is always very high with well written and insightful reviews given to a years worth of WWF videos.

Volume three covers the WWF during the years 1993-1996 as the new generation featuring the likes of Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Diesel replace the old guard many of whom have jumped ship to the big spending competition WCW.

As said before the standard of these books is very, very high and they make for good value. One slight complaint would be they do tend to be slightly on the negative however to be fair to the guys I don't have to watch some of the dross they review so fair play to them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun memories. 6 Jan 2014

This book covers the least commercially successful period in the WWF's history, but also probably my favourite period as a fan. The detail in every segment of every video is fantastic and brought back fantastic memories.
