Format:Audio CD
I'll be brief. If you are a Cohen fan (if not, why not?), this box is an essential purchase on account of one unannounced surprise. The packaging makes light of the fact, but all of these albums are remastered versions which sound utterly beautiful! This is worth emphasising because as far as I know only the first 3 titles have previously appeared in remastered form (re-issued here without the bonus tracks). Recent Songs and Various Positions are the most conspicuous to benefit from the enhanced sound. If you've overlooked this box set because you already most of its contents, think again- they all sound so much better now. A most worthy set of re-issues, make no mistake.

Like the previous reviewer, I always considered myself a Leonard Cohen "fan" despite only having a greatest hits CD in my collection. I used to have a vinyl copy of "New Skin" but that was disposed of 25 years ago when I converted to CD. Back in September I decided to start buying a few of the older LC cds and was thrilled to see this complete collection coming out in October. What a brilliant purchase. So far I've only listened to the older ones so still have several hours of new music to listen to, but what a magnificent way to spend £28. The only downside is that LC has a new album out next year so this won't remain the Complete collection for long!

Format:Audio CD
Just another comment about how good the remastering is on theses studio albums. They are now as good, or better, than the versions on LPs. In addition the newer CDs have greater vibrancy, An absolute bargain.
