When a record label releases a compilation and boldly names it The Complete '61 Sessions, you expect the content to be just that. Well, this is incomplete with so many other recordings made in '61 missing. But as pointed out by a reader (P. Griffiths) it does qualify the title with a subtitle that says: Every track Elvis released during 1961.
So perhaps the title of this release should have been The Complete '61 Releases!
The bigger crime in my opinion is that with all the thousands of available pictures from 1961, they mysteriously picked a black and white shot from 1956 to adorn the front cover. Why? This is so numbingly annoying.
As a package, this could easily have been a 5 star item had proper care and consultation been taken.
