Product Description

This comprehensive volume gathers together over 450 classic recipes from Gary Rhodes' bestselling cookbooks: Rhodes Around Britain, More Rhodes Around Britain and Open Rhodes Around Britain.

You'll find all the dishes that made Gary famous -- welsh rarebit, bread and butter pudding, steak and kidney pie -- as well as his original variations on traditional recipes, like Pot Roast Lamb, Braised Onions and Yorkshire Pudding. The collection also includes the best of his new dishes, such as Seared Salmon on Tartare Potato Cake with Warm Poached Egg, Shredded Duck with Thai Noodles and Iced Chocolate Parfait. There are tempting variations on basic dishes such as risotto, savoury tarts and sponge puddings. Gary also offers tips on how to master some of the more complex cooking techniques.

With such a wide selection of recipes gathered together in one volume, The Complete Rhodes Around Britain is a collection of recipes you will turn to again and again.

About the Author

Gary Rhodes is one of Britain’s best-loved chefs. His success includes four Michelin stars - at the Castle Hotel in Taunton, Somerset, The Greenhouse, city rhodes and, most recently, Rhodes in the Square - and the prestigious CATEY Special Award, the catering industry’s equivalent to the Oscars, for helping to revive British cookery and for his total dedication to the industry. He has presented six television series, including a cookery series for children based on Roald Dahl’s Revolting Recipes, and has written six other cookery books. As well as his two highly acclaimed London restaurants, Gary has recently opened two brasseries, Rhodes & Co, in Manchester and Edinburgh.

Really pleased with this cookery book - no arty recipes just good simple food, which will appeal to everyone. Classic British dishes alongside some newer ones, which are certain to become classics in their own right. Really like the way Gary introduces each recipe with extra information and also gives alternatives and helpful hints. Will be using this book for a long time to come and have rediscovered why I liked cooking in the first place.

Being a relativly new convert to the art of cooking, I had not got any of the Rhodes around Britain trilogy. When I saw this I had to get it and I was not dissapointed.

All the bells and whistles of most cookbooks have been removed, gone are the pretty pictures of how others say the meals should look, what's left are over 450 recipes that are clearly explained and orgainised.

Anyone who has not got any Gary Rhodes books, or only the more recent titles should get this book. If it's good food and good inspiration your after, then look no further.

I bought this book for my dad for fathers day and when it arrived i opened the box to find the book in terrible condition. There was food stains on it, it looked like it had being opened sevral times and the corners were turned in and dirity. I can't give the book to my dad now. The things I usually buy of amazon are very good but not this.
