A thoughtful and funny book from start to finish 6 May 2000

This trilogy is a superb read. Starting off with a vivid description of Henry Pratt's early life, we see him grow up in a variety of situations. Never short of female love, Henry moves through relationships as quickly as he moves through locales. The situations he finds himself in are funny, and his adventures are both hilarious yet sufficiently real to allow the reader to identify. I can't speak highly enough of this thoughtful book and this author. BUY IT! I couldn't put it down.

Wonderful price for all three Henry Pratt books--and once you've read one, you'll want to read them all. I can't imagine anyone not laughing out loud as these wry (mis)adventures.

this is one of those books I just couldnt put down.
Everyone has an "Henry Pratt" in them and we all reconise his blood relations. I just very sad that I have come to the end. I will be reading more David Knobbs.
