I have two bonzai trees which I bought from a garden centre and am trying to grow two other ones myself. As a first time grower, I found this book to be full of useful tips and once I'd seen what was possible with this wonderful art, it made me even more deternined to continue with it as a hobby. Would definitaly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Probably THE best bonsai book there is 9 Jan 2014

This book is very complete (as the title claims). It is highly detailed in its descriptions and motivates every statement. All pictures also help a lot. This book is THE book to have if you intend to read only one bonsai book ever.

The only drawback is that the font is very small. If you don't have perfect eyesight, you might need to hold the book close, which can get tiresome for your arms.

Useful for a beginner, although this is only an encyclopedia so an additional instructional book may come in handy if you plan to get into Bonsai
